Services for the Assessment of Disability

This entity provides the public evaluation service contemplated in the Llei de Promoció de l’Autonomia Personal i Atenció a les persones en situació de dependència (LAPAD), with the PRODEP program of the Institut Català d’Assistència i Serveis Socials (ICASS) of the Departament d’Acció Social i Ciutadania of the Autonomous government of Catalonia.
The aim of these assessments is to propose a determinate degree and level of dependency of those evaluated for official recognition by the administrations of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia and of the Kingdom of Spain to enable access to the rights contemplated by the Law.
SEVAD performs the assessments in the person's home on the basis of the healthcare information received beforehand.
