Procedure for admission to the CDIAP

- Request for the early intervention

Once a child has been referred to the CDIAP and fulfills the criteria for admission, the family must fill out the form "Request for the Social Service of Early Intervention", where they must show that they meet the requirements for access to the service. This request will be sent to the Department of Social Welfare of the autonomous government of Catalonia (Departament de Benestar Social de la Generalitat de Catalunya).

In parallel, the CDIAP's team will start diagnosing and treating the child.

Afterward, the Catalan Institute of Social Services (Institut Catalŕ d'Assistčncia i Serveis Socials) of the Department of Social Welfare of the autonomous government of Catalonia will inform the family whether the child has the right to be admitted to the  CDIAP Parc Taulí de Sabadell

- Care contract

Once the family and the Center have been informed that the child has the right to be admitted to the CDIAP, they proceed to the Care Contract for Early Intervention, which regulates the relations between the user and the CDIAP Parc Taulí de Sabadell.

Calendar and working hours

The CDIAP is open mornings and afternoons from Monday through Friday, year round.

Continuing in the CDIAP: reasons for discontinuation

Whether a child can continue to be treated at the CDIAP depends on:

- Therapeutic criteria
- The age limits set by the Administration
- Enrollment in a Special Education Center
- Achievement of the goals set, of neuropsychological diagnosis and early intervention at the CDIAP (with referral, if necessary for treatment continuity, to the public services in the health and education department in their community).
- Change of residence
- Repeated failure to attend scheduled visits
- Specific statement by the parents that they do not want their child to continue to be treated at the CDIAP
